Who are we?

Memories 4 Generations is a student-led program dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults living with dementia. Rooted in intergenerational connection, we bring creative, evidence-based activities to senior centers across NYC. Our goal is to foster joy and mental stimulation through meaningful engagement and activities.

What do we do?

Each session blends memory-boosting games, low-impact physical movement, and emotionally resonant music. Activities are tailored to the needs of each participant, using simple tools like bean bags, cups, and pool noodles. Our sessions begin with warm conversation and end with reflection, emphasizing intergenerational connection and fun.

Memories 4 Generations is an intergenerational dementia intervention program operating at senior living and activity centers across New York City. Founded and led by a group of dedicated students, our initiative is rooted in a passion for supporting older adults. Each session combines motor stimulation—through accessible materials like plastic balls, pool noodles, cups, and bean bags—with memory-focused games and cognitive techniques. Our goal is to provide engaging, hands-on activities that promote both mental and physical stimulation for individuals with dementia. With limited programs available for those facing neurodegenerative conditions, we aim to expand access to meaningful, intergenerational engagement for individuals at all stages of cognitive decline.
